According to Indian meteorologists, the radius of this Yaas will cover a distance of 600 km, which means that Yaas will cover an area of about 1200 km. As the storm is heading north, Yas will pass over Kolkata. It will then enter Bangladesh via Hooghly, Burdwan, Murshidabad, and Maldah.
Although it has a speed of 130 to 145 kilometers per hour in the sea, it will hit the coast with a speed of 180 to 180 kilometers per hour. Since the diameter of Yaas is larger than that of Amphan, it is thought that the intensity of this cyclone will be greater than that of Amphan.
