The Price of Gold Increased by 2041 Takas

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has decided to increase the price of gold by Tk 2,041 per Vori. The new price will be effective from Sunday (May 23).

On Saturday, Bajus president Enamul Haque Khan and general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwala signed a statement.

Earlier, on May 10, the price of gold was increased by Tk 2,333. As a result, the price of gold has been increased by Rs 4,384 twice this month.

Now, Bajus says the reason for the rise in gold prices is the economic crisis
caused by the corona and various complex equations that have pushed up the price of gold in the world market. At the same time, gold dealers are unable to import gold bars due to the closure of flights on international routes, customs complications at the import stage (material tax rebates), and various other bureaucratic complications. Moreover, the price of gold has also increased in the domestic Bullion / Poddar market due to low supply against demand.

As per the decision of Bajus, the price of 22-carat gold (11.64 grams) has been increased by Tk 2,041 to Tk 73,483, 21-carat gold 70,333, 18-carat gold 61,584, and gold per traditional method from Tk 51,062. Will.

Usually, on Monday, see the picture of the world market. From Tuesday, Bajus decides to increase or decrease the price of gold. But, with the decision on Saturday, what is the reason for the price increase on Sunday? When asked, Bajus president Enamul Haque Khan told "E-newspaper24hour", "There is no need to look at Monday's picture at the rate at which gold prices have risen in the world market.

Although the price of gold has risen, the pre-determined price of silver has remained the same. According to the category, the price of 22-carat per Vori silver has been fixed at 1,518 takas. The price of 21-carat silver has been fixed at Tk 1435, 18-carat silver at Tk 1225, and traditional method silver at Tk 933.
